Marcia Gaye Newell Helle

Marcia Gaye Newell Helle, 76, went home to be with the Lord on April 3, 2016.  She was born in Savanna, Illinois on July 16, 1939.  She moved to Arizona when she was 20 where she lived for 32 years before she retired to her home state of Illinois. She was the beloved only child of Winnifred Marie and Royal Wesley Newell who predeceased her.  She is survived by her children Newell Scott Helle and Jodi Gaye Helle Chesbro.  Marcia was an amazing pianist who taught piano for many years. She loved playing piano and organ in several churches including Sun Valley Church in Scottsdale, AZ for 25 years, and lately she entertained the residents in Renaissance Care center where she currently lived.  She had a wonderful sense of humor, and smiled and laughed no matter how she was feeling.  She loved animals and throughout her life she owned many dogs, cats and a bird named Burt. She died peacefully the morning of April 3rd and is reunited with her family in heaven.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.  Memorial services will be in Arizona in May.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Renaissance Care Nursing Home in her memory.  To leave online condolences please visit www.oakshinesfuneralhome.com
