Charlotte Ruby Gold

TRIVOLI- Charlotte Ruby Gold passed away at 1:20 PM on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Heartland Health Care Center at Riverview in East Peoria, IL. She was born on a farm southwest of Farmington, Illinois to Josiah and Emily Hale Gray. She attended Farmington Schools and received nurses training at OSF in Peoria, where she worked for many years.

Charlotte married Wayne E. Gold of Yates City, Illinois on November 14, 1941. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wayne, two sons, (Alan and Terry Gold), five brothers,(Clyde, Harold, Alfred, Charles, and Ralph). She is survived by two sister-in-laws, Josephine Gray, and Helen Gray, both of Farmington; three nieces Carol Gray and Pat (Mike) Gossett of the Chicago area, and Pam (Jim) Wright of Macomb; also surviving is one nephew, Joe (Merna) Gray of Farmington.

Charlotte spent her life helping others and enjoyed writing poetry, traveling, and baking bread and pies for friends and family. She was a long time member of Zion Penn Ridge Lutheran Church.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, where visitation will be one hour before the services. Pastor Gary Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in Trivoli Cemetery following the services.
