Also, surviving are his children, Derek (Wendy Walker) Gorsuch of Macomb; Jessica (Kody) Gravitt of Canton; four grandchildren, which were the light of his life, Hunter, Nehemiah, Hayden, Valentina; brothers, Brian (Amy) Gorsuch of Cuba; Daniel (Leslie) Gorsuch of Farmington; sister, Kim Gorsuch of St. Louis, Missouri, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding, Curtis in death were his parents.
Curtis worked along his father and brothers at Gorsuch Appliance in Canton for several years, and later owned & operated Gorsuch Realty & Auction in Canton for over 20 years, as he was very involved in the community, helping others when needed, volunteering at benefit auctions throughout the years. He cherished fishing, time spent at the Lake of the Ozarks, camping, playing cards, and watching St. Louis Cardinal baseball. His professional pursuits included auctioneering, real estate sales, and community service, but his greatest joy was the love he had for his grandchildren, and family. He was a member of the Morning Star Masonic Lodge #734 in Canton.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory, where Masonic rites will begin at 7:00 PM. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. Memorials can be made to the Curtis Gorsuch scholarship fund in care of Ipava State Bank in Canton.
