Occupation: He began working for the Unites States Postal Service on the mail trains in the late 60’s and retired as Postmaster at the Astoria Post Office in April of 1994. He also enjoyed officiating football games for schools in the area until he was in his 60’s. After retiring, Harold enjoyed mowing the Vermont Cemetery for several years.
Military: He served in the United States Navy from 1949 to 1950.
Memberships: He was a member of the Vermont American Legion and a life long member of the
Vermont Masonic Lodge. He was also a Scout Master for the local Boy Scout troop for 20 plus years.
He enjoyed hunting duck and quail, scuba diving, and spending time at the legion in town.
