Lyle K. Lingenfelter
Canton – Lyle K. Lingenfelter, 72, of Canton, passed away at 12:33 PM on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at The Loft in Canton, IL. He was born on January 12, 1947 in Canton to Lyle H. and Darlene (Lempke) Lingenfelter. He married Rose Sexton on December 24, 1966 in Bryant, IL, she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Ed and Jason Lingenfelter both of Canton, and one brother, Gene R. Lingenfelter of Canton.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Loretta McDermott and Joann Nebergall, and one great nephew.
Lyle graduated from Lewistown Community High School in 1966. He retired in 2003 from Caterpillar in East Peoria after 36 years of service. Lyle was of the Christian Faith. He was a past member of the Black Diamond Archery and an avid NASCAR fan.
Lyle served during the Vietnam War in the United States Army as a Field Artillery Repair Specialist.
Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Lyle’s family will hold a private celebration of life service at a later date. Memorials can be made to the Fulton County Humane Society. To make online condolences you may go to www.sedgwickfuneralhomes.com
