Canton – Donna L. (Arnett) Gibson, 50, of Canton, passed away at 11:30 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at her residence. She was born on June 20, 1969 in Channelview, TX to R.J. Arnett and Barbara Miller. She married Keith Gibson on October 13, 2007 in Elmwood, IL, he survives.
Also surviving are her parents, R.J. Arnett of Hampton, TN and Barbara Miller of Davenport, IA; two children, Dorian Utsinger of Farmington and Brittany Arnett-Smith of Farmington; one granddaughter, Paytyn Kirby; one brother, William Arnett; and one sister, Annette Morris.
Donna worked as the former chief of police in Yates City, IL. She enjoyed wood burning and loved chickens.
A celebration of life will be held from 2-6 PM on November 16, 2019 at the Yates City Community Center, 101 N Union St., Yates City, IL 61572. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Memorials can be made to the Bank of Yates City in Donna’s name for Medical Expenses.
