Canton – Charles “Bob” R. Webb, 76, of Canton, passed away at 4:25 AM on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on January 9, 1943 in Canton, IL to Robert and Nelda (Conner) Webb. He married Cheryl (DeMay) Goyen on January 23, 1993 in Canton; she survives.
Also surviving are four children, Jamelle Webb of Melbourne, FL, Angela (Chris) Oest of Canton, Bruce (Tina) Goyen of Dunfermline, and Bev Goyen of Canton, IL; four granddaughters, Ashley, Jennifer, Jessica, and Emily; two great-granddaughters, Harleigh and Brynleigh; one brother, Phillip (Judy) Webb of Lewistown; and one sister, Jeanie (Jim) Jackson of Farmington, IL.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one great-grandchild, A’Niyah.
Bob owned and managed Webb Fertilizer for 30 plus years in Lewistown and Fairview. He was a member of the Lewistown Optimist Club. Bob loved to travel and spend his winters with Cheryl as a snowbird in Florida for the past 11 years. He also loved to take care of his lawn on his John Deere tractor “Johnny”.
Services will be held at 6 PM on Monday, October 7, 2019 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton where a visitation will be held from 4-6 PM. Pastor Micah Garnett will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date at White Chapel Memory Gardens.
