Lewistown- Jon Ramey, 59, of Lewistown passed away at 2:10 PM Monday April 8, 2019 at OSF Health Care in Peoria.
He was born November 4, 1959 at Terre Haute, IN; the son of Donald R. Ramey and Betty (Graves) Ramey-Keene. He was preceded in death by his father, and three brothers. Surviving are his mother Betty Keene of Lewistown, one daughter, Shona Ramey of Lewistown, two grandsons, Bryan Nelson Jr. and Oaklee Ramey both of Lewistown, one brother, Nelson Ramey of Marietta, GA; three sisters, Donna (Jack) Stutsman of Lewistown, Marsha Gazelle of rural Canton and Cindy McGhee of Georgetown, a sister-in-law Lissi Ramey of Lewistown, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Jon was a heavy equipment operator for Local 649 for the last 12 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, being outdoors, spending time with his friends and living life to the fullest.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday April 13th at Cottonwood Cemetery near Hanna City with Larry Wright officiating. Visitation will be held from noon until 1:00 PM Saturday at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
