He was born October 11, 1917 at Table Grove, the son of Harry and Anna (Herriford) Paul. He married Shirley Hinds on December 7, 1957 at Macomb. She survives with several nieces and nephews.
Virgil retired from the Burlington Northern Railroad where he worked as a conductor. He was a WW 2 Army veteran, and a lifetime member of Ipava American Legion Post 17, and Lewistown VFW Post 5001. He was also a member of the Ipava Presbyterian Church, Lewistown Lodge 104 AF & AM, Mohammed Shrine, and Scottish Rite.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown where visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Ipava Cemetery with military rites accorded by Ipava American Legion Post 17. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ipava American Legion.
