Memberships:   Astoria United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday school and served as church treasurer for many years. He was a 25 year member of the Astoria Fire Department. He was a Shriner and a Shriner Circus Daddy for the last 10 years. He was a member of the Vermont Masonic Lodge. He was Vice President of the Lewistown Mutual Insurance Company for many years. He was a member of the Astoria Lions Club, where he was a past president.
