Banner – Doria M. Malmgren, 74, of
Banner died on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at her son’s home in Monterey.
She was born January 1, 1941 in
Middlegrove, to Raymond and Nellie (Phelps) Grubb. She married Steve Malmgren on November 6,
1992 in Lewistown. He survives.
Also surviving are four children,
Crystal (Delbert) Plain of Edwards, John (Shelli) O’Connell Jr. of Galesburg,
Kelly O’Connell of Canton, and Larry (Carol Campbell) O’Connell of Monterey; two
brothers, Walter (Virginia) Grubb of Ellisville and Shelby (Brenda) Grubb of
Hanna City; one sister, Betsy (Rich) Myers of Farmington; fourteen
grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; one son, Dan O’Connell; one sister, Pat Lewis; and one
great-grandchild, Damion Terrell.
Doria was a CNA and had worked
for nursing homes in the Canton and Peoria area. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles,
and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be held at
11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, where
visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in
Farmington.
