Jill E. Smallwood

Jill E. Smallwood, 80, of Canton, passed away on August 4, 2025 at her residence. She was born on November 29, 1944 in Peoria to Franklin and Elaine (Post) Schneblin. Jill married Ray S. Smallwood on June 15, 1963 in Pekin. He preceded her in death on February 19, 1994. Also preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers and one sister

Surviving are her children; Vincent (Piper) Smallwood of Pekin, Vance (Cindy) Smallwood of Kansas City, MO. and Victoria (Eric) King of Canton, one sister Jean Bube of Lewistown, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Jill worked at Sealtest Ice Cream in Peoria for many years. Later she drove buses for Blue Star, Brewer Charter and Peoria Charter Coach. She last worked, driving a dump truck on construction for the Teamsters. She made wedding and special cakes for over 40 years. Jill enjoyed crocheting hats for St. Jude and the homeless. She loved to listen to music and touched many lives, never knowing a stranger. She loved her family and the Lord.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life will held at a later date.
