Richard “Dean” Kruzan Jr.

Richard “Dean” Kruzan Jr., 77, of Cuba, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 1:00 PM at The Loft in Canton, IL. He was born on June 5, 1946 in Canton, IL, to Richard Dean Sr. and Nancy M. (Purtle) Kruzan. He married Lynda Polhans on September 12, 2009 in Canton, IL. She survives.

He is also survived by 10 children, Michael (Tina) Kruzan, Quentin (Linda) Bennet, Delbert (Susan) Bennet, Kevin (Corin) Kruzan, Richard Kruzan III, Jacob (Samantha) Kruzan, Jennifer Kruzan, Brent Kruzan, and Matthew Kruzan; 25 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 4 siblings, 4 sisters-in-law, 3 brothers-in-law, 15 nieces & nephews; 2 fathers-in-law, Keith Polhans and Ricky Zaremsky; and one mother-in-law, Billie Jo Zaremsky.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two children, Tammy Kruzan and an angel baby; one great-grandchild, Boden Florey; 3 siblings; and mother-in-law, Carrie Polhans.

Dean worked and retired from International Harvester. He was a member of the Canton First Church of The Nazarene. He also enjoyed fishing and woodworking.

Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the Canton First Church of The Nazarene in Canton, IL. Pastor Layton Malone will officiate. Burial will follow services at Walnut Cemetery in Banner, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL.
