Thomas Joel “Tommy Jo” Courtney, 60, of Breeds passed away at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 15, 2015 at his residence. He was born on August 28, 1955 to Lester and Alma (Lingenfelter) Courtney.
Surviving are two children, Erin (Tony) Wuebbling of Canton and Aubrey Courtney of Canton; three grandchildren, Hannah, Emma, and Sean Wuebbling; several nieces and nephews; three brothers, Robert (Carla) Courtney, David (Pam) Courtney, and Virgil Courtney; two sisters, Susie (Larry) VanMiddlesworth and Laura Clendenny; and his father Lester Courtney.
Preceding him in death is his mother, and one brother Leslie Courtney.
Tommy Jo worked at caterpillar where he retired in 2008. He was a loving Father, Son, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Monday, October 19, 2015 at the funeral home. Reverend K. Bruce Rushing will be officiating. Burial will follow services at Bethal Cemetery in Rural Canton. Memorials can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
