Alvira Hagen, 104, of Canton passed away at 1:30 PM Tuesday October 13, 2015 at Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Canton. She was born on August 5, 1911 in Canton to Ralph B. and Alma A. (Kastner) Johnson. Alvira married Charles B. Hagen on May 4, 1930 in Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 8, 1988. Also preceding her were her parents, 2 brothers; Bruce and Dean Johnson, and a sister Frances M. Lacy. Surviving is a son Karl L. Hagen of Canton, 3 grandsons: Tony, David, and Chris, 6 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Alvira was a member of Shield’s Chapel United Methodist Church and the Rebecca’s.
Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, October 17 at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home in Canton where visitation will be 1 hour prior to services. Pastor Walt Carlson and Rev. Stacy Tomich will officiate. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton. Memorial contributions can be made to Sunset Manor Nursing Home or Shield’s Chapel Church.
