She was born May 3, 1935 at Bloomington the daughter of Earl A. and Margaret E. (Missen) McGilvray. She married Ivan E. Elliott on August 9, 1960 at Galesburg. He died November 13, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one son, Douglas Elliott. Surviving are one daughter, Sandra (Pete) Hackleman of Rutland, four grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Janice was a homemaker. She attended the former Spiritualistic Church of Harmony in Peoria.
