Lewistown- Patricia A. (Cato) Cyphers, 71, passed away at 5:00 AM, Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Heartland Health Care Center in Canton. She was born on February 19, 1944 in Table Grove, IL. to Dean Reedy and Beatrice (Fawcett) Howard. Pat married Tom Stufflebeam in 1961 and later married Gary Lee Cyphers. Gary survives along with 3 children; Rodney L. Stufflebeam of Bushnell, IL, Robyn Stufflebeam and Michael Stufflebeam both of Lewistown, IL, 1 brother Gene Howard, 4 sisters; Kathy J. Howard of Canton, Jamie D. Howard of Springfield, Billie Furgerson of Canton and Roxann Fernetti of Canton, 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Roger “Ramjet” Howard and a sister Donna Herrin.
Pat was a retired beautician, and a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in rural Lewistown, and VFW Auxiliary in Lewistown.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at Mt. Pleasant Church at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society or Veteran Administration. Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.
