Rosemary K. Kirk, 93, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020 at her residence.
She was born on May 11, 1927 in Peoria to Mike and Katie (Hauck) Schaffer. They preceded her in death.
She married Delbert "Del" Kirk on April 1, 1948 in Pekin. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2004.
Surviving are her children, Richard (Diane) Kirk of Morton, Kevin (Rita) Kirk of St. Peters, MO, Peggy (Bill) Kane of Indiana, Pennsylvania, brother-in-law, Jerry Monroe, grandchildren, Alyssa (Grant) Yost, Emily (Ryan) Stauffer, Ryan (Gabby) Kirk, Justin Kirk, Stacy (Derek) Swanson, Tyler Kane, Katie Kane and great grandchildren, Cora, Eli, Leo Yost, Roman Stauffer, James Kirk, Kyla, Clayton Swanson and expecting twins due in October.
Also preceding her in death is her brothers, Harold, Donald, Richard and infant Lyle along with sisters, Shirley Chapman, Emily Leslie and Carol Monroe.
Rosemary worked at the Hartford in the Claims department and was also a self-employed beautician. She enjoyed quilting and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She was a member of Shields Chapel United Methodist Church.
A graveside funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 11 am, at the Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria. There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be made the Shields Chapel Church.
