Gregory “Greg” W. Andre, 49, of Canton, passed away at 11:04 PM on Friday, September 11, 2020 at his residence. He was born on May 18, 1971 in Canton to Fred W. Andre and Clara Fay (McMillan) Freeman.
Surviving is his mother, Clara Faye (Jack) Freeman of Canton; one son, David Andre of Lakeland, FL; one brother, Terry Andre of Canton; three sisters, Paula Andre of Cuba, Michelle Kitchen of Canton, and Rachel Bates of Canton; several aunts and uncles; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Greg was preceded in death by his father and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
Greg worked as a welder for Saw Mill Hydraulics in Farmington, IL. He enjoyed race cars and woodworking.
Burial of ashes will be held at 10 AM on Monday, September 21, 2020 at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton, IL. Rev. Kevin VanTine will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Memorials can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or American Cancer Society.
