Derrin M. Lulay
Havana – Derrin M. Lulay, 51, of Havana, passed away at 11:57 AM on Monday, November 28, 2016. He was born on October 28, 1965 in Peoria to Russell and Nora (Kelly) Lulay Jr.
Surviving is his partner of 18 years, Kelly Adams of Havana; son Ashton M. Lulay of Havana; one brother, Dane Lulay of Peoria; and one sister, Stacy (Steve) Robertson of Sherwood, OR.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Derrin grew up in Wee-Ma-Tuk and attended Cuba schools.

Nancy A. Massingale
Canton – Nancy A. Massingale, 83, of Canton, passed away at 5:36 AM on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Graham Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on September 2, 1933 at Spring Valley, IL to William E. and Mary (Pederzani) Wellner. She married Howard D. Massingale on September 13, 1952 in Peru, IL. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2006.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant grandson, Brandon Marvel.
Surviving are three daughters, Cheryl (Bill) Marvel of Canton, Karen (Jim) Ewan of Locust Hill, VA, and Mary (Jim Hejl) Massingale of Chicago, IL; five grandchildren, Brett Marvel, Sarah Williamson, Jessie, Matt, and John Paul Ewan; one great-grandchild, Eli Huynh Marvel.
Nancy loved to travel, and her greatest joy was her family. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Canton.

William “Bill” R. Hall
William “Bill” R. Hall, 92, of Vermont, passed away at 11:55 pm on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Roseville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Roseville. He was born on July 5, 1924 in Hamilton, the son of Delbert and Iva (Thompson) Hall. Bill married Sandra Kay Danner on December 22, 1975 in Macomb, IL. She preceded him in death on August 9, 2016.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dewey Hall and his sister, Grovene Sullivan
Surviving are his 3 daughters, Elaine Hall, Janet Linn Downey of Apache Junction, AZ and Dianna Linn (and Rocky) Williams, Sr. of Colchester, 2 step-sons, Brian Danner of Table Grove and Dennis (and Angie) Danner of Table Grove, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and his brother, Gene (and Darlos) Hall of Colchester.
Bill was a carpenter his entire life.
He was in the U.S. Army, serving in World War II.
Bill was a member of the Vermont American Legion and attended the Astoria United Methodist Church. He loved to play any type of game, including croquet, ping pong, darts and pool. He even made his own game called Sequence.
Services will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Pastor Robert Green will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 11 to 11:30 am on Tuesday. Interment will be in the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb, with full military rites provided by the Vermont American Legion.

Randy E. Hilton
CANTON- Randy E. Hilton, 60, of Canton, passed away at 11:21 AM on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Graham Hospital Emergency Room. He was born on October 12, 1956 in Jacksonville, IL, a son of Robert L. and Marcella Elaine Easley Hilton. He married the love of his life Cindy McLaren on June 15, 1979 in Lewistown. She survives.
Also surviving is his beloved daughters, Jennifer (Mark) Mansker of Kansas City, Missouri; Christina (Justin) Schoon of Canton; two loving granddaughters, Majesta and Camryn, and his beloved dog, Ozzy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Steven Hilton.
Randy was an over the road truck driver for several years, he was an avid Miami Dolphins football fan, loved to watch NASCAR and wrestling.

Melvina Z. Green
Canton – Melvina Z. Green, 78, of Canton passed away at 11:53 am, Friday, November 18, 2016 at her residence.
She was born on September 28, 1938 in Princeton, IL. to Raymond and Olive (Edie) Burcky. Melvina married Kenneth D. Green on June 5, 1958 in Vermont, IL. He preceded her in death on March 15, 2015.
Also preceding her death were her parents and one brother.
Surviving is a daughter Kathryn (John) Gumpper of Salt Lake City, Utah, four grandchildren, Eric (Rachel) Barton, Ryan (Jennie) Barton, Kathryn (Kyle) McLellan and Christopher Gumpper, five great-grandchildren Chaska Barton, Micah Barton, Kaleb Barton, Marley Barton, and Cadence Barton, and foster daughter Monica (Michelle) Kline.
Melvina was a school teacher and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Canton.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 11 am, at the 1st Presbyterian Church in Canton with visitation one hour prior.
The Rev. Tim Bauler will officiate.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Burial of the ashes will be in Vermont Cemetery in Vermont, IL at 2 pm.

Joanne Crosetto
Canton –Beverly Joanne Crosetto, 85, of Canton, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016, at 3:07 pm, at the Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born on February 9, 1931, in Canton, to Ralph and Ada (Sexton) Wilson. They preceded her in death.
She married Louis “Spank” Crosetto on August 11, 1951. He preceded her in death on September 4, 1969.
Surviving is her daughter, Lora “Lori” (Chuck) Fischer of Oak Creek, WI, sister, Carolyn Woods of Canton, brother-in-law, Lawrence “Tootie” (Gerda) Crosetto of St David and two nieces and one nephew.
Also preceding her in death is one daughter, Christa “Chris” Brissett.
Joanne retired from the Canton School District #66. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Graham Hospital Gift Shop.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016, at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton at 11 am with a visitation one hour prior.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a burial of the ashes will be held at the White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton following the services.

She was born July 15, 1940, in Lewistown to Noel and Dorothy (Burgess) Keeler. She married Walter F. Hauber Jr. on February 24, 1969, in Springfield, MO. He preceded her in death on March 8, 2014.
She is survived by one son, Douglas Hauber of Canton; two granddaughters, Tiffani (Trey Simmons) Hauber of London Mills and Destiny (Joe) Ward of Abingdon; one great-grandson, Oliver Simmons; one brother, Richard (Shirley) Keeler of Lewistown; and three sisters, Eleanor (Carter) Taylor of Horseshoe, TX, Ann (Richard) Sybert of Athens, and Karen (Duane) Wegerer of Burlington, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Doris Carver and Frances Schisler.
Marilyn was the owner of the Merle Norman Cosmetics store and Fashion Aire Clothing, which had shops in Canton and throughout Central Illinois. She also worked as a beautician for many years. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Canton.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, from 5-7 p.m. at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. A private burial of ashes will be held at a later date at Apple Cemetery in rural Lewistown.
Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.

Maureen J. Franciskovich, 73, of Canton, passed away at 12:01 PM on Friday, November 25, 2016 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on January 28, 1943 in Canton, a daughter of Maurice and Marie Hezlep Preece. She married James Franciskovich on January 7, 1977 in Canton. He survives.
Also surviving is one son, Doug (Stacy) Kosier of Canton; two grandchildren, Isabella and Ian Kosier both at home.
Maureen was a manager at Super-X Rev. Co. for many years.

John F. Rench Sr.
John F. Rench Sr., 73 of Canton, passed away at 10:15 AM on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at his residence. He was born on January 13, 1943 in Ottawa, Illinois, a son of John and Nellie Burkholder Rench. He married Judy Chambers in December of 1966 in Smithfield, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, John “Johnny” Rench Jr.; Todd Rench, and one daughter Christina Barclay all of Canton; one grandson, Gage Barclay; one brother Robert (Jean) of Keokuk Iowa, two sisters, Bonnie (Raymond) Jarnagin of Canton, and Dorothy Miller of Bushnell.

John retired from Intentional Harvester in Canton, and was a United States Army Veteran.

TRIVOLI- Martha M. “Bea” Oltman, 84, of Trivoli, passed away at 10:20 AM on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Farmington Country Manor in Farmington, IL. She was born on October 1, 1932 in Princeton, IL, a daughter of Arthur and Minnie (Peterson) Eckoff. She married Merle Oltman on December 9, 1950 in Mississippi. He preceded her in death in January of 2003.
Also preceding her in death are her parents, one son, Larry Oltman, and one brother, Donald Eckoff.
Surviving are her children, Janet Miller of Fort Myers, Florida; Steve Oltman of Farmington; Carol (Pat) Clardy of Farmington, Elaine Carrigan of Rockford; Sharon (Junior) Leathers of Metamora, and Kim Camacho of Mark, IL; 16 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
Bea was a beloved mother and homemaker, and loving farmer’s wife; she was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Brimfield, a member of the Women of the Moose. She loved living in Florida since 2003, and she taught Sunday school and Bible School for many years.

Carl Raymond
Canton – Carl E. Raymond, 83, of Canton passed away at home at 8:20 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2016.
He was born January 17, 1933, in Bethel Township, McDonough County, to John Carl and Mary (Edwards) Raymond. He married Joan Reid on September 28, 1956, in Macomb. She survives.
Also surviving are three children, Jeff (Debbie) Raymond of Cuba, Kathy (Russell) Martin of Canton, and Carol (Mike) Mansker of Alpha; three brothers, Clifford Raymond of Colchester, Don (Carolyn) Raymond of Macomb, and Richard (Betty) Raymond of Colchester; eight grandchildren, Joshua (Erika) Martin, Jeremy (Megan) Martin, Josiah Martin, Crystal (Matt) Horton, Kendra Raymond, Caitlyn Mansker, Megan Mansker, and Colton Mansker; and seven great-grandchildren, Trinity, Tyanna, Jadyn, Tinley, Brooklyn, Shelby, and Makenzie.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Carl was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for International Harvester, and later for Navistar, retiring in 1985, after 30 years of service. Following his retirement, he spent much of his time volunteering for construction projects at local churches and grilling pork chops and ribeyes at several local fairs, earning himself the nickname “Ribeye”. He was a member of the Canton Assembly of God Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at the Canton Assembly of God Church, where visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.

Canton – Rosemary H. Bowton, 86, of Canton passed away at 2:35 pm Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Heartland Health Care Center in Canton. She was born on August 10, 1930 in River Falls, WI. to Leo W. and Harriett L. (Miller) Bennett. Rosemary married Ralph H. Bowton on May 12, 1957 in Canton. He preceded her in death on August 9, 1975. She also was preceded in death by her son Patrick C. Bowton and two grandchildren. She is survived by four children; Kathy L. (Rick) Wilson of Canton, Crystal L.(John) Moran of Jacksonville, FL, Karen R. Markley of Canton, and Steven L. (Yvonne) Bowton of Canton, fifteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Rosemary worked at Graham Hospital as a cook and was a member of South Park United Methodist Church in Canton.

James L. Burdin
Glasford – James L. Burdin, 73, of Glasford, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at his residence.
He was born on August 13, 1943 in Peoria to Lenard and Meola (Jaynes) Burdin. They preceded him in death.
He married Raye Ann French on September 9, 1995 in Edwards, IL. She survives.
Also surviving is his daughter Cindy and a sister, Jasmin Osman of Kentucky.
He was also preceded in death by one sister Deanna Baridon.
James worked for Caterpillar Tractor in the 1970’s, later for Kroger in the early 80’s and lastly for G&D Transportation retiring in 2006.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed stock car racing and watching NASCAR.
He was a member of White Chapel United Methodist Church.
A funeral service will be held at 1 pm Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton where visitation will be two hours prior to services.
Burial will follow at the Orendorff Cemetery.

Gordon R. Ault
Cuba – Gordon Ray Ault, 79, of Cuba passed away at 2:50 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, surrounded by his family at home.
He was born February 18, 1937, in Bushnell to Raymond and Ina (Redfern) Ault. He married Sue Widger on December 24, 1971, in Fiatt. She survives.
Also surviving are three children, Penny (Mike) Goff of Gifford, Michael Ray Ault of Cheyenne, WY, and Christy (Jason) Churchill of Ellisville; five sisters, Melba Markley, Betty Tracey, Janet Kinder, Ruthie (Larry) Hoyle, and Kay (Duane) Hart; one brother, Gene Ault; ten grandchildren, Jeffrey Ashwood (whom they raised), Jenny Crosbie, Philip Goff, Zach Ault, Travis Ault, Annie Ault, Samuel Decker Jr., Jonah Boyle, Cadie Churchill, and Courtney Churchill; two great-grandchildren, Marisa and Natalie Crosbie; and one great-grandchild due in January of 2017, Briggs Gordon Ault.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Willis Ault.
Gordon was a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country from 1960-62. During his enlistment he served in Germany during the building of the Berlin Wall. Later, his son Mike would serve his country in Germany when the Berlin Wall came down.
Gordon worked for International Harvester in Canton and transferred to Navistar in Indianapolis, where he retired from in 1991. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and attending car shows with his son and grandchildren. He also enjoyed attending his grandkids sporting events and was a big fan of NASCAR and Jeff Gordon. He was a member of Wiley Lutheran Church.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Gordon’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Wiley Lutheran Church in rural Ellisville. Following the services, military rites will be conducted at the church. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.

Kay Marie McKinney
Canton – Kay Marie McKinney, 82, of Canton passed away at 4:50 am, Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Red Oak Estates in Canton. She was born on October 13, 1934 in Canton to Lester and Leta (Hammond) Derrickson. Kay married Ray McKinney on December 23, 1953 in Canton. He survives along with three children; Dianna McKinney of Canton, Derrick (Lyn) McKinney of Peoria, and Tammy (JC) Barnard of Canton, brother Robert Derrickson of Canton, sister Loretta Harper of Hopedale, six grandchildren; Jeremy (Rebecca) Bender, Bret (Jannaya) Merna, TJ Barnard, Wesley McKinney, Matthew (Cassie) McKinney, Nicholas McKinney and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Gene Derrickson.
Kay worked for Illinois Bell, Daily Ledger, and later for International Harvester Company Credit Union. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother with a strong Christian faith. Kay was a member of the First Baptist Church in Canton.
Services will be 2 pm Friday, November 18, 2016 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton where visitation will be one hour prior to services. The Rev. Monroe Bailey will officiate. Memorials can be made Graham Hospice, Alzheimer’s Association, or First Baptist Church in Canton.

Annabelle L. Breckenridge
Lewistown- Annabelle L. Breckenridge, 95, of Lewistown, passed away at 4:15 AM Monday November 14, 2016 at Graham Hospital.
She was born November 1, 1921 at Lewistown Twp; Fulton County, the daughter of John and Opal (Scalf) Wilcoxen. She married Roscoe L. Breckenridge on February 5, 1944 at Canton. He preceded her in death on July 9, 2016. They were married 72 years and lived together at the same home for the past 67 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Raymond “Red” Wilcoxen. Survivors include two children, Bill (Debbi) Breckenridge of Lewistown, and Linda (Gary) Davis of Lewistown, 7 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
Annabelle graduated from Graham Hospital School of Nursing in May 1943. She worked as a registered nurse for 40 years at Graham Hospital in Pediatrics. She also worked as a private duty nurse, and was the nurse on duty during the Boy Scouts Camp and Girl Scouts Camp. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lewistown, a 45 year member of the D.A.R. and a member of the Rebekah Lodge. She had also taught Sunday School, and had been a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown, with Reverend Monroe Bailey and Reverend Martin Cobb officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity of the donor’s choice. Jack L. Smith
Lewistown- Jack L. Smith, 87, of Lewistown, passed away at 3:50 AM Sunday November 13, 2016 at his home.
He was born November 2, 1929 at Beardstown, the son of John Thomas and Nellie Christine (Scherrer) Smith. He married Margaret M. McCarty on February 21, 1953 at Lewistown. She preceded him in death on November 3, 2000. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Chuck Smith. Survivors include one son, Mike Smith of Lewistown, three daughters, Vickie Aldridge of Lewistown, Rita (Tony) Hagen of Lewistown, and Annette (Thomas) Schisler of Troy, MO; a special friend, Donna Mustread of Smithfield, ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two sisters, Patsy Jo Smith of Lewistown, and Margaret “Peg” Spencer of Summum.
Jack was a heavy equipment operator and also farmed. He served in the Army from 1951-1953 and was a member of the American Legion. He was also a member of the Operating Engineers Local 649.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown, where visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-7 PM . Claude E. Garzee Sr.
CANTON- Claude E. Garzee Sr., of Canton, passed away at 2:41 PM on Friday, November 11, 2016 at his residence. He was born on November 16, 1946 in Canton, a son of Claude D. and Zelma Garzee. He married Lila Whiteman on June 29, 1967 in Palmyra, Missouri. She survives.
Also surviving are his two sons, Claude (Beth Pemble) Garzee Jr. of Canton; Jason (Tammie Brewer) Garzee of Prairie City; two grandchildren Nick and Mariah Garzee both of Bushnell, and one sister, Pauline White of Peoria.
He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Jacob and Shawn, and one sister, Colleen Harris.
Claude worked and retired from Canton Napa Auto Parts, He was a United States Army Veteran, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War.

Leonard Hartzog
Farmington – Leonard Hartzog, 66, of Farmington, passed away at 1:37 PM on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. He was born on February 13, 1950 in Canton to George and Juanita (Bollinger) Hartzog.
Surviving are two daughters, Paige O’Neill and Cheryl Bryant both of Joppatowne, MD; five grandchildren; one sister, Linda (Paul) Overcash of Farmington, IL; his significant other, Winifred Bosanco of Canton, and her son, Justin Jiardina; many nieces, nephew, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Everett Hartzog.
Leonard worked and retired as a mechanic at Orwig Autobody. He loved to fish, play games with the family, woodworking, mechanics, music, tinkering on anything that needed worked on, and playing guitar.
He served during Vietnam in the Army.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, IL. Maralee Burgard
Lewistown- Maralee Burgard, 92, of Lewistown, passed away at 5:50 PM Tuesday November 8, 2016 at Unity Point Proctor Hospital in Peoria.
She was born September 2, 1924 at Lewistown, the daughter of James and Mary Louise (Wilson) Hendee. She married Dale Burgard on May 21, 1945 at Canton. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Dr. Steven Burgard.
Maralee attended Monmouth College where she was a member of Kapa Delta Sorority. She worked as a dental assistant for 15 years, and was also a Federal Employment Examiner in Macomb. She also worked as a licensed real estate salesperson for the former Snowden Agency in Table Grove. She was a member of the Lewistown Presbyterian Church where she had served as an Elder. She was a 50 year member and Past Matron of the Order of Easter Star Ipava Chapter. She was also a former member of the V.I.T. Board of Education, and was a former volunteer for the radio information service at W.I.U. where she did reading and taped books for the visually impaired.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown, with Reverend Larry Wright officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the memorial home. Rosemarie McDowell
Canton – Rosemarie McDowell, 73,
of Canton, passed away at 10:20 a.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016, in Canton.
She was born on January 14, 1943,
in Canton to Loren “Red” and Kathleen Dawn (Robinson) Hardin. They preceded her in death.
Surviving are two children, Greg
(Jackie) McDowell and Dave McDowell, both of Bartonville; two brothers, Gene
(Phoebe) Hardin of Canton and Steve (Carolyn) Hardin of Mattoon; several
nephews and two grandchildren, Josh and Jake McDowell.
Rosemarie took various
business-type classes and worked in the office for Armour and Co. in Peoria
after graduating from Canton High School in 1961. She quit working to stay at home to be a
full-time mother to her children. She
enjoyed the time she spent raising her children and grandchildren, was an
active room mother while her children were in school, and was a Den Mother for
the Cub Scouts. She always enjoyed hosting
birthday parties for her children and their friends while they were growing up,
and taking long drives enjoying the scenery.
Funeral service will be held at
11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton,
where visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Cremation rites will be accorded following
services.

Paul E. Shawgo
Lewistown- Paul E. Shawgo, 95, of Lewistown, passed away at 5:00 AM Tuesday November 8, 2016 at Sunset Manor in Canton.
He was born October 26, 1921 at Pleasant Twp; Fulton County, the son of Lloyd and Mettie (Groff) Shawgo. He married Marcia Baum on April 20, 1947 at Astoria. She preceded him in death on September 28, 2002. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Patti West, three brothers, and one sister. Surviving is one daughter, Sandra (James) Maxwell of St. David, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and two sisters, Faith (BD) Foster of Springfield, and Barbara Gruber of Farmington.
Paul farmed his entire life in the Ipava and Lewistown Area, and was also a reporter for the ASC for 30 years. He was a WW 2 Army veteran serving from 1942-1945 during which he spent 30 months overseas. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of Lewistown VFW Post 5001, a 50 year member of the Ipava American Legion Post, and the Fulton County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed his large garden and sharing with family and friends.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown, with Reverend Larry Wright officiating. Visitation will be held 5-7 PM Friday at the memorial home. Billie J. Wright
Billie J. Wright, 54, of Vermont, passed away at 11:45 am on Thursday, November 3, 2016 in Okmulgee, OK. He was born on November 26, 1961 in Dover, OH, the son of Theodore and Bernice (Bucher) Wright. Billie married Angela Walton on May 28, 1988 in Osage Beach, MO. She survives.
Also surviving are his 3 daughters, Kodee Wright of Des Moines, IA, DaKoda (and Peter) McGoldrick of Wheaton and Laramee Wright of Vermont, son, Logen Wright of Ft. Hood, TX, mother, Bernice Wright of Macomb, father, Theodore Wright of Apache Junction, AZ and his sister, Susie (and John) Williams of Birdsboro, PA.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents.
Billie was a OTR Truck Driver for Siemen’s Trucking in Traer, IA.
He was a member of the Vermont Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, mushrooming, and motorcycle riding. He also enjoyed his family and attending their activities.
Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Pastor Tom Wright will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the funeral home in Astoria. Cremation rites will be accorded after the service. Lewistown- Bernard L. Carlin, 73, of Lewistown passed away at 12:30 AM Sunday November 6, 2016 at his home.
He was born September 3, 1943 at Canton the son of Albert A. and Mary Louise (Henderson) Carlin. He married Ruth Shaw. He later married Carol Weber. Surviving are three children, Laura (Allen) Tippey of Lewistown, Pamela (Rod) Beaird of Ipava, and Christopher (Audrey) Carlin of Bryant, two sisters, Joyce (Robert) Behymer, of Lewistown, and Linda (Roger) Graham of Ipava, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and his dog Shirley. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one great grandchild.
Bernard was a police officer for the City of Lewistown and later was a truck driver for M&L Concrete and several other companies for many years. He was a former member of the Canton Moose Lodge. Bernard enjoyed bowling and camping.
Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Reverend Carl Denham officiating. Rick Lillie
Canton – Rick Lillie, 60, of Canton, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at his residence.
He was born on September 4, 1956, in Canton to Thornton and Mary (Jones) Lillie. They preceded him in death.
He first married Nancy Eatherton and later married Margo Rumler on April 2, 2016. They survive.
Also surviving are two children Autumn (Israel) Crotzer of Canton, Kendall (Johnathan) Lillie of Canton, Step son Bret Rumler of Canton, sisters Cindy (Larry Taff) Wirebaugh of Canton, Debbie (Glen) Hamm of St. David, Sandra Kay Lillie of Canton, four grandchildren, Lance and Trenton Carter, Isaiah Crotzer and Gracie Rumler.
He was also preceded in death by one brother John and two sisters Gloria Wheeler and Judith Chaney.
Rick has been self-employed throughout his lifetime and has owned and operated several businesses though out the area.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016, from 2-4 pm, at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. Family will receive friends at the American Grill following visitation. There will be no funeral and cremation rites will be accorded.
Burial of the ashes will be at the High bridge cemetery in Dunfermline at a later date.

Alice M. Chasteen
Canton – Alice M. Chasteen, 92, of Canton, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at the Renaissance Care Center in Canton.
She was born on March 27, 1924 in Gilchrist, to Elmer and Bertha Ann (Herring) Lockwood. They preceded her in death.
She married Wayne Chasteen on November 3, 1941 in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1997.
Surviving are two children, Ron (Sandra) Chasteen of Canton, Charlotte (Ed) Riley of We-Ma-Tuk, eight grandchildren, Diana Walker, Danita (Greg) Ellis, Ron Chasteen, Scott Runyan, Dave Runyan, Julie (Jared) Hardy, Darren Chasteen, Bryan (Angy) Chasteen, twenty one great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and one to be expected.
Also preceding her in death is her son Larry, daughter-in-law, Carol Chasteen, seven brothers and one sister.
She was of the Methodist faith. She also enjoyed cards, camping and cooking. Most of all she was devoted to her family.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016, from 5-7, at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with a funeral service on Saturday, November 5, 2016, at 11 am, at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.

Doris Carver
Lewistown- Doris Carver, 85, of Gurnee, and formerly of Lewistown, went to be with Jesus Wednesday November 2, 2016 – the day the Cubs won the World Series.
She was born January 5, 1931 at rural Lewistown, the daughter of Clarence and Dorothy (Burgess) Keeler. Surviving are three children, Suzanne Carver of Gurnee, Barbara (Jonathan) DeLew of Wheaton, and John (Elizabeth) Carver of Aurora, seven grandchildren, Tony Fritz, Michelle Carver, Corinne Zuelke, Mark DeLew, Paul DeLew, Michael DeLew, Leah DeLew, and four great grandchildren, one brother, Richard (Shirley) Keeler of Lewistown, and four sisters, Ann (Dick) Sybert of Athens, Marilyn Hauber of Pekin, Karen (Duane) Wegerer of Burlington, IA; and Eleanor (Carter) Taylor of Horse Shoe Bay, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, KC Carver and one sister, Frances Schisler.
Doris loved the small-town atmosphere of Lewistown and life on her family farm as the oldest of 7 children. She attended Illinois State University and then married in 1953. The family moved to Brussels, Belgium from 1972-76 where Doris enjoyed traveling and studying French. After returning to Peoria and working in an insurance office, Doris retired to Gurnee, Illinois in 1999. She was active in her church, enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes and was an avid Cubs fan.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday November 6, 2016 at Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church with Pastor Kathy Barrett officiating. David VanDyke
Canton – David P. VanDyke, 72, of Canton, passed away at 10:45 AM on Monday, October 31, 2016 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria. He was born on January 6, 1944 in Canton to Cecil F. and Mildred (Anderson) VanDyke. He married the love of his life, Victoria “Vicky” Frank on October 25, 1969 in Peoria, she survives.
Also surviving are three children, Douglas (Denise Clayberg) VanDyke of Canton, Colleen VanDyke of Canton, and Brent VanDyke of Peoria; and one granddaughter, Colette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Janet West.
David worked as a foreman at International Harvester for 18 years, and owned Pekin Cleaning and Supply. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. David’s number one goal was to take care of his wife and granddaughter. He appreciated the Veterans health care clinics and hospitals. Dave loved going out to eat, local music functions, and Dickson Mounds.
David is a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the Army.
Services will be at 10 AM on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Canton. Father Daniel Ebker will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Greenwood cemetery, Canton. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 6-8 PM with rosary @ 7:45 pm. at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1995 N. Main St., Canton, IL. Gary A. Tarvin
Gary A. Tarvin, age 77 of Astoria, IL, passed away at 4:20 am on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Graham Hospital in Canton, IL. He was born on October 5, 1939 in Lincoln, Illinois, the son of Harold and Bertha (Jones) Tarvin. On January 26, 1964, Gary married Caroline Sue Hamm in McHenry County, IL. She preceded him in death on March 6, 2014.
Gary was also preceded in death by one brother, John Tarvin.
He is survived by two sons, Eric Tarvin of Astoria, Illinois and Gary Tarvin of Sacramento, California, one daughter Lisa of Sacramento, California, and several grandchildren, including Eric Alan Tarvin of Astoria, Illinois.
Gary was a General Manager for K-Mart. He also worked as a carpenter.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of ashes will take place in the Sheldons Grove Cemetery in Browning, Illinois at a later date.
