James F. Mistic, 64, of Canton, passed away on January 21, 2026 at his residence. He was born on August 18, 1961 in Canton to Frank and Lila (Pyle) Mistic. Jim married Tina Slaight on July 21, 2007 in Canton. She survives along with three children; Mandy (Justin) Wedig of Washington, IL, Kyle (Alyssa) Dirksen of Canton and Cory (Elizabeth McClay) Dirksen of St. David, two brothers; Dan (Helen) Mistic of Texas and Mark Mistic of East Peoria, one sister Patty (Mick) Davis of Peoria and three grandchildren; Sophie, Brennan and Mackensie Wedig.Jim worked at Caterpillar Incorporated. He was an outdoorsman, loved fishing, and his dogs. He enjoyed old Western and Bruce Lee movies.
