Canton – Dorthea “Dottie” Loretta Stevens, 66, of Canton, passed away at 1:03 PM on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Graham Hospital E.R. She was born on October 7, 1951 in Springfield to Earl Stevens and Loretta Thompson. She was raised by her mother Loretta and step-father Harold Johnson.
Surviving is four children, Sunday Thompson of Bushnell, Velvet Brown of Beardstown, Stormy Schulten of Peoria, and John Riley (Amber) McCoy of MO; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Daniel (Debbie) Stevens of Chandlerville, Rhet (Kim) Johnson of Bath, and Kirk (Tammy) Johnson of Havana; three sisters, Autumn (Dean) Lynn of Grant, MI, Barbara (Dennis) Nall of Havana, and Earlene (Randy) Smith of Girard; and her step-father, Harold Johnson of Chandlerville.
Dottie was preceded in death by her parents.
Dottie was a member of the First Christian Church in Canton, IL. She also worked at FCRC in Canton for many years.
A open mic service will be held at 6 PM on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL, where a visitation will be held from 4-6 PM.
